One thing everyone can agree on, is that cereal isn’t complete without milk, if you’re still unsure about what plant-based milk is and the different options available, check out this awesome article, What is plant-based milk?

Whole Earth prioritises the health and well-being of the customers and the planet over other factors like maximisation of profits. To learn more about that visit their insightful about page here.

3. Freee-foods

Now granted, the brand Freee-foods are not actually 100% vegan, to be specific they are 92% vegan, with 81 out of their 88 products being vegan, however of their 6 cereals, all are indeed 100% vegan-friendly so I have to give them a pass for this list.

If you’re in search of vegan and gluten-free versions of cereal classics like cheerio’s, cornflakes and cocoa puffs, then freee-foods have got you covered.

Although their cereal range is not as healthy as the others on this list, the use of gluten alternatives like maize flour, brown rice flour and buckwheat make them a great choice for those trying to avoid refined flours. Or those who are gluten-intolerant

Here’s the Freee-foods cereal range:

4. Natures Path Organic

Natures path organic pride themselves on only using organic ingredients that are free of GMOs and synthetic chemicals. They have a small range of cereals but they more than make up for it by providing gluten-free, high fibre and organic breakfast cereals.

The products you can find vary depending on where you look, for example on their site and on Ocado you’ll see the following:

  • Maple sunrise cereal, 332 g

5. Wholefood Earth

Wholefood earth has a ton of nutritious breakfast options that are hassle-free and 100% plant-based. What I love most about buying from whole food earth is that you can easily scale up the amount you want.

For example, you can easily choose 350g of cereal or 500g, or even a massive bulk package of 15kg! I prefer this over having to buy multiple smaller packets.

Anyway, enough about packet sizes, the Wholefood earth cereal range is basic but extensive and well-priced. Moreover, all the ingredients are derived from whole food sources, which means no processed nonsense! For more information on what wholefoods are check out these awesome articles:

6. Crispy Fantasy

Crispy fantasy is one of the few cereal brands that attempt to innovate. They offer a small selection of 100% plant-based, protein-packed boxes of cereal, which are gluten-free and low in sugar. The only downside to consider is the steep price!

Relative to other cereals on the market these guys have quite a high price point but perhaps the price is worth the hype. I’ve ordered my box so I’ll let you guys know soon. Perhaps one of you could tell me too?

Here’s what’s on offer

7. Misfits

Following the trend of expensive cereal options, next on the list is misfits, another innovative company that places importance on high protein, high fibre cereals, with low sugar but great taste.

With 4 different flavours to choose from (all of which sound delicious), misfits cereal certainly has me impressed managing to reduce its sugar content to only 1 gram. Whilst also using no artificial flavours, colours or preservatives!

I don’t know how they managed it but here’s what they’ve got on offer.

Misfits cereals come in packs of 2 and cost £15 each. For more information visit their amazon store here.

8. Eleat cereal

Now to finish off this 3-part series of expensive cereal is… Eleat! If you’ve never heard of them before I’ll allow co-founder, Hugh Hamilton-Green to explain what they’re all about.

“We set out to reinvent cereal as we know it – creating a great tasting cereal that is packed full of protein, fibre and nutrients.” – Hugh Hamilton-Green

After a quick snoop around their FAQ page, I was pleased to find they had an answer for why their cereals are quite expensive. I think you’ll find their answer quite illuminating too…

Why is ELEAT more expensive than regular cereal?

“Whilst regular cereal is packed full of empty calories and sugar, ELEAT has been carefully crafted with the best ingredients, to instead be packed with plant powered protein and gut-loving fibre – with only a small amount of naturally occurring sugar.”

And there you have it, take that for what you will.
